LEGENDS

In August 2026, Bob Hostutler (Burnt River Bob) [Class of 2012] was honored by being inducted into the VERY FIRST class of the Pro Football Ultimate Fan Association LEGENDS. He was one of three members to receive this honor. Bob is the epitome of quiet strength and resolve, he continues serving this organization each day, and he is also the “first” of many categories.  He is a Legend.

Bob is not an over-the-top fan or member. Instead, he leads with a calm demeanor that demands attention, and his character resounds throughout the halls of our organization. Due to this, and many other factors, Bob was the first member of the Class of 2012 to be elected as a director for our organization.

Bob was elected to the Board of Directors in 2015 and served as a director for three years. In 2018, he was elected by his fellow directors to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors.  In total, he served three consecutive two-year terms and eventually stepped down in 2022.

In 2020, Bob was awarded the Jason “Beardown J” Carlson Courage Award for his strength and integrity as he dealt with the sickness and eventual death of his son and fellow PFUFA member Justin Hostutler "J the Historian" (Class of 2013). Bob and Justin walked that road for over two years, and Justin was the 2019 recipient of the Courage Award.

In 2013, our organization created the "Golden Hog Award" to honor the long, outstanding history of the Hogettes. It is awarded to the PFUFA member in recognition of his/her activities in the community throughout the year that go above and beyond the conventional definition of charity that is "the practice of giving and caring" and displayed our mission statement in their day-to-day lives.

That first award process was completely conducted and solely vetted by the Hogettes themselves. All nominations were sorted, and they unanimously selected their honoree. In doing so, they set a high bar for all future recipients. Their founder, Mikey T (Boss Hogette), personally presented that first award to Bob Hostutler for his work in the Cleveland area. In 2012, Bob spearheaded the efforts to build, maintain, and expand our PFUFA Sponsorship. His relationship with Esber Beverage, Dominos, and Sugardale has benefited our organization greatly--of note, Bob is the one that acquires and maintains the beer trailer for every reunion.

Pro Football’s Ultimate Fan Association has benefited greatly from Bob’s membership, dedication, and distinguished excellence. He is admired by all, and Bob Hostutler is a LEGEND.
