PFUFA History Channel Spotlight for the Year 2026:

History Spotlight:

Our organization is ever changing, but our roots are VERY STRONG, and our core always remains in tact.  When needed, we will take appropriate action to address a hole or need. As such was the case in 2025.  We needed a method to honor PFUFA members who have displayed DISTINGUISHED EXCELLENCE in their service to this organization.  Many ideas were considered, but at the 2025 Business Meeting, we went before the membership and presented Pro Football's Ultimate Fan Association "LEGENDS." The By Law change was passed unanimously. Now the task was to determine the most deserving members to be in that first class.

In 2026, at the PFUFA Annual Reunion, three of our members were inducted into the VERY FIRST class of LEGENDS. Those members were: Joanie DeKoker (BestBillsFan aka Mamma Blue) [Class of 2003], Candice Chifici (Go Go) [Class of 2008], and Bob Hostutler (Burnt River Bob) [Class of 2012]. You can read each of their bios by clicking on their image or going to the Legends option under the Main Menu above.

The following are the requirements to be a LEGEND:  A Veteran in Good Standing that has at least ten years of paid dues and has distinguished him/herself with excellent service to the organization can be placed in the LEGENDS section on the organizational website. The purpose of the list is to recognize those Veterans that have contributed greatly to the organization. Any Veteran can submit a nomination in writing to the President for consideration. The nomination will be considered and requires a positive vote of at least 90% of the presiding Officers and presiding Members of the Board of Directors.

Of course, Joanie, Candice, and Bob far exceed these requirements, and we are VERY PROUD to recognize these members for their service to this organization!!  Well done!!  Very well done!

The year was 2026 and...

In February, Super Bowl LX was played on February 8, 2026 in Santa Clara, CA at Levi Stadium between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.  The Seahawks won 29 to 13 in another blowout victory. The Patriots did not score until the 4th Quarter, and the Legion of Boom II kept the game out of reach. The MVP was Kenneth Walker III.  The Super Bowl logo, the Championship Ring, and Conference Ring are shown below.

Special Note:  For SB LVI, the NFL moved away from its generic, sanitized logo and went back to a logo that included a more regional flare and color, although not to the degree of the classic logos.  Though better, the logos continue to maintain a rigid standardization.  Since this new design is better, the actual logo is displayed above.

In August, quarterback DREW BREES, wide receiver LARRY FITZGERALD, linebacker LUKE KUECHLY, kicker ADAM VINATIERI, and running back ROGER CRAIG were inducted into the Class of 2026 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Our organization is so talented!!  In September, we proved this point again when are very own Jeff Reinhart (Hogfarmer) [Class of 2020] was featured his own children's book.  "There’s something pretty special about opening up a book and seeing the HogFarmers right there as part of the story! Our friend Bryan has created something that goes far beyond a children’s book. Frederick and Spent is a story about hope, courage, friendship, kindness, and showing up for others when they need it most — values that mean everything to us at the Hogfarmers Charitable Foundation. We’re truly honored to be included in their journey and even more proud of what this book represents. The best part? Proceeds from the book are helping support children battling cancer."
